GoldStone’s Homase takes second gold

GoldStone Resources has met its newest milestone at the Homase gold operation in Ghana’s Ashanti Gold Belt, the completion of its second gold pour.

Homase recorded its first pour on 30 November of last year. The most recent pour yielded 14.46 kilograms of dore, while last year’s totaled 28.5 kg.

Both pours have been exported to the company’s unidentified offtake partner in Switzerland and resulted in 40.67 kg and 1.71 kg of refined silver bullion.

The 100% owned Homase mine, which is made up of a series of shallow open pits is expected to hit full production by mid-year. It is targeting 25,000 ounces annually from its JORC-compliance resource of 602,000 oz of gold resource.

Homase was formerly operated by AngloGold Ashanti.
